Package Itenary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Your Arrival Time: Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.
  • ​Evening: Settle into your room and take time for a brief rest. In the evening, there will be a group meeting for a detailed briefing about the Yatra, including equipment checks and health precautions for high altitudes.
  • ​Meal: Dinner Only at Hotel.
  • ​Hotel: 3-Star Hotel – Hotel Tibet / Hotel Arts or similar.

Day 2 - Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation

​A day dedicated to spiritual preparation and exploring the heritage of the Kathmandu Valley.

  • ​Pashupatinath Temple Darshan: Start your morning at the holiest Hindu shrine in Nepal. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple complex on the banks of the Bagmati River is a powerful place for prayer and blessings before your pilgrimage.
  • ​Budhanilkantha (Jal Narayan): Visit the magnificent reclining statue of Lord Vishnu, resting on a bed of serpents in a sacred pond. It is customary for pilgrims to seek success for their journey here.
  • ​Boudhanath Stupa: In the afternoon, visit one of the largest stupas in the world. Walk clockwise with the pilgrims, spinning the prayer wheels and soaking in the peaceful Tibetan atmosphere.
  • ​Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple): Perched on a hilltop, this ancient stupa offers panoramic views of the city. It is a beautiful place to watch the sunset and reflect on the journey ahead.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: 3-Star Hotel – Hotel Tibet / Hotel Arts or similar.

Day 3 - Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche, Syabrubesi, or Timure

  • The Journey: Leave the valley behind as you head north. The drive takes you through scenic foothills, deep valleys, and traditional villages.
  • ​Route: Drive to Dhunche (2000m / 127 km / 6 hrs), Syabrubesi (1600m / 141 km / 7 hrs), or Timure (1983m / 152 km / 8 hrs) depending on local road conditions and permit status.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: Sonam Guest House or similar.

Day 4 - Drive to Kyirong (2,850m)

  • Border Crossing: Drive to Rasuwagadhi (1800m). If staying in Timure, it is a short 10-15 minute walk to the border.
  • ​Immigration: Complete all custom and immigration formalities on both the Nepal and Tibet (China) sides. After crossing the "Friendship Bridge," meet your Tibetan guide and continue the drive to Kyirong.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: Phuntsok Khansang Hotel or similar

Day 5 - Drive to Saga (4,550m)

  • Departure (09:00 AM): After breakfast, begin the climb onto the high Tibetan Plateau.
  • ​The Plateau: The drive (220 km – 5 to 6 hrs) takes you through vast landscapes and rural Tibetan villages. You will cross the holy Brahmaputra River as you make your way to Saga.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, and Dinner at Saga.
  • ​Hotel: Xibuyizhan Hotel or similar.

Day 6 - Drive from Saga to Mansarovar Lake (4,550m)

  • Departure (08:00 AM): A long but visually stunning drive (450 km – 6 to 7 hrs) across the plateau.
  • ​The Holy Lake: Reach the shores of Lake Mansarovar. Here, we perform a vehicle Parikrama (90 km – 3 hrs) of the lake, allowing you to witness its changing colors and the first glimpses of Mt. Kailash.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: Lake Guesthouse 

Day 7 - Puja at Lake Mansarovar & Drive to Darchen (4,650m)

  • Spiritual Morning: Most of the day is spent at the lake. This is your time for a holy bath and to perform Puja (prayer rituals) in the presence of the sacred mountain.
  • ​Departure (04:00 PM): A short drive (35 km – 1 hr) takes us to Darchen, the gateway and base camp for the Kailash Kora.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: Guesthouse.

Day 8 - First Day of Outer Kora – Trek to Dirapuk (4,860m)

  • Start (10:00 AM): Drive to Tarboche to visit Yama Dwar (the Gateway of Death). This is the official starting point of the 52 km circumambulation.
  • ​The Trek: Begin a 12 km trek (5-6 hrs) to Dirapuk. This stretch offers the most iconic and powerful view of the North Face of Mount Kailash.
  • ​Alternative: Travelers not participating in the trek can return to Darchen and wait for the group.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast at Darchen, Packed Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: Guesthouse.

Day 9 - Second Day of Outer Kora – Trek via Dolma La Pass to Zuthulphuk (4,670m)

  • Start (07:00 AM): The most strenuous day of the Yatra (22 km – 8 to 9 hrs).
  • ​The Ascent: A steady climb leads to the Dolma La Pass (5,700m / 18,700 ft). On the way, you pass Shiva-sthal and feel the thin, sacred air of the high pass.
  • ​The Descent: After the pass, descend toward Gauri Kunda (The Pond of Compassion/Goddess Parvati) before the trail levels out toward Zuthulphuk.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: Guesthouse.

Day 10 - Drive to Saga (4,550m)

  • Start (08:00 AM): Complete the final leg of the trek (8 km – 3 hrs) to reach the pickup point.
  • ​Reunion: Meet the coach and the members who stayed in Darchen. Begin the long drive back to Saga (470 km – 7 to 8 hrs).
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: Xibuyizhan Hotel or similar.

Day 11 - Drive back to Kyirong (2,850m)

  • Descent: Retrace your steps across the plateau (220 km – 5 to 6 hrs) back to Kyirong County, descending to a more comfortable altitude for the night.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: Phuntsok Khansang Hotel or similar.

Day 12 - Drive back to Kathmandu (1,400m)

  • The Return: Drive to the border (40 km – 1 hr), complete exit immigration, and begin the drive back to Kathmandu (approx. 7-8 hrs).
  • ​Evening Celebration: Upon reaching the hotel, a Certificate of Completion will be provided to all pilgrims to commemorate their successful journey.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
  • ​Hotel: 3-Star Hotel – Hotel Tibet / Hotel Arts or similar.

Day 13 - Transfer to Kathmandu Airport

  • Departure: Enjoy a final breakfast in Nepal. You are free for last-minute shopping until your flight. We will provide a transfer to the airport 2 hours before your departure.
  • ​Meal: Breakfast Only.
