The Route: Manebhanjan to Tumling

After a hearty mountain breakfast and completing the Singalila National Park formalities, you’ll board your Classic Land Rover. Feel the raw power of vintage engineering as you climb toward Tumling.

Chitre: A serene stop at an old Buddhist monastery surrounded by pine forests.

Meghma: True to its name (the "Place of Clouds"), where the mist dances through the stupas.

Tonglu: Pause at this breathtaking viewpoint for your first panoramic glimpse of the high peaks before settling into your cozy lodge in Tumling.

The Route: Tumling to Sandakphu (11,930 ft)

Prepare for an adrenaline-fueled day. The terrain turns rugged as your Land Rover navigates the steep, stony trails of the Indo-Nepal border. We’ll stop at Kalapokhari, a high-altitude lake whose dark waters are steeped in local legend. The final stretch is a dramatic, steep climb that leads you to Sandakphu—the highest point in West Bengal. Here, the air is thin, the silence is profound, and the views are unmatched.

The Route: Sandakphu to manaybhangyang  NJP / Bagdogra 

Wake up before the sun to witness a celestial spectacle. As the first light hits the horizon, you’ll see the "Sleeping Buddha"—a massive silhouette formed by Mt. Kanchenjunga and its sister peaks. The sight of the 3rd highest peak in the world glowing in shades of gold and pink is a memory that stays forever.

After breakfast, we begin our descent back to Manebhanjan. From the base, we’ll transfer you back to NJP/Bagdogra.

Travel Tip: Please ensure your return flight or train is scheduled for after 6:00 PM to allow for a comfortable journey down the mountains. If you want to travel hassle free, we recommend you adding one more day to this expedition .
