Morning: After breakfast, we head North. The landscape changes rapidly from lush greenery to steep cliffs and cascading falls. We stop at  Seven Sister Waterfalls. Reach Lachen (8,838 ft), a remote village inhabited by the Lachenpa people. It is the base for your high-altitude trek tomorrow.

Overnight: Lachen

An early start (around 4:00 AM) is essential. We drive through the Cold Desert to reach Gurudongmar Lake at 17,800 ft. It is one of the highest lakes in the world and remains partially unfrozen even in winter—a site of deep religious significance.

Afternoon: After soaking in the views, drive back to Lachen for lunch and then proceed to Lachung, the sister village across the valley.

Overnight: Lachung.

Yumthang Valley: Known as the "Valley of Flowers," this alpine meadow is framed by snow-capped peaks. During spring, it is carpeted in Primulas and Rhododendrons.

Zero Point (Yumesamdong): For those seeking more, we can take you to Zero Point, where the motorable road ends and the snow begins.

Please Note: The visit to Zero Point is at a supplement cost (payable locally) as it requires additional permits and fuel for the high-altitude terrain.

Overnight in lachung.

After a slow breakfast, we begin our descent. The return leg allows you to see the waterfalls you might have missed—Bheema Falls and Twin Falls are highlights today.

Evening: Arrive back in Gangtok. This is your last chance for souvenir shopping at the Directorate of Handicrafts or local markets.

After breakfast, we drive you back to NJP or Bagdogra. As you leave the mountains behind, you take with you the silence of the high lakes and the colors of the northern valleys.
