Package Itenary

Day 1 - The Gateway to the Abode of Clouds ( Guwahati - Shillong)

Arrival & Transfer: Upon arrival at Guwahati, begin your scenic drive toward Shillong.

En Route: Pause at the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani). The vast blue waters surrounded by coniferous forests offer a perfect first glimpse of Meghalaya’s beauty.Evening: Check into your hotel and enjoy the cool mountain air of the "Scotland of the East."

Day 2 - Crystal Waters Border Tales Clean Village With Rewai Roots

SHILLONG - DAWKI -SHILLONG

 

After early morning breakfast drive to Mwallynong, the cleanest village in Asia, also known as ‘God’s own Garden’. Climb the 80 ft Sky Walk at Mawllynong village for a bird’s eye view of the Village, the plantations and faraway plains of Bangladesh. You will also be acquainted to the Khasi lifestyle, their culture and economy. A trek to the nearby Rewai Village is another interesting activity. Walk down a flight of almost 100 steps to witness nature’s wonder, living-root bridge. Enjoy an amazing country boat river ride (at your own cost) in the crystal clear River. We will then drive up to the Bangladesh border. Later proceed to Shillong for overnight stay.

Later drive to Dawki, a village of the Jaintia community whose prime occupation of fishing. Be mesmerized by the beauty of the Umngot river, the venue of the annual boat race held during March - April at Umsyiem. The river is also famous for its crystal clear water, so clear that when seen from a distance, it appears as if the boat is floating in mid-air! The Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills. This is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place

Day 3 - The Mist-Wreathed Canyons and Caves of Cherrapunjee

After early morning breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on the earth, for an awesome day trip. . At Sohra, stop at Garden of Caves. In Cherrapunjee be witness to the gorgeous Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls, Nohkalikai Falls & Dainthlen falls. Later take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave. The Limestone Cave is a natural wonder with innumerable formations inside it. Drive back to Shillong. 

Day 4 - Explore Shillong city & Transfer to Guwahati

After Breakfast  check out of the hotel and visit shillong city

Don Bosco Museum: A must-visit 7-story hexagonal building that serves as a cultural window to all eight North Eastern states. Don't miss the skywalk on the roof for a 360-degree view of the city.

Ward’s Lake: A peaceful, horseshoe-shaped artificial lake located in the heart of the city. It’s perfect for a quick morning stroll or a 15-minute paddle boat ride amidst colorful flower beds.

Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians: Visit this beautiful sky-blue building known for its high arches, stained-glass windows, and peaceful atmosphere.

Afternoon: The Scenic Drive to Guwahati (approx. 3 hours / 100 km)

Check-in: Settle into your Guwahati hotel.

Day 5 - Temples & Culture: Maa Kamakhya and other sightseeing

Visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple atop Nilachal Hill. Take a ferry to Umananda Temple, situated on the smallest inhabited river island in the world. Visit the Balaji Temple and the Srimanta Kalakshetra to witness the rich Assamese heritage.

Kamakhya Temple Darshan: Start your day early at Nilachal Hill. One of the oldest and most revered Shakti Peethas in India, this temple is a masterpiece of medieval architecture.

Umananda Temple (Peacock Island): Take a scenic 10-minute ferry ride from Umananda Ghat to the world’s smallest inhabited river island. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the island is also home to the rare Golden Langur.

The Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, commonly known simply as Kalakshetra, is a premier cultural institution in Guwahati, Assam. Named after the 15th-century saint-reformer Srimanta Sankaradeva, it serves as a "living museum" that preserves and showcases the diverse cultural heritage of the Northeast.

The Purva Tirupati Sri Balaji Temple is a magnificent spiritual landmark in Guwahati, often described by visitors as a "peaceful oasis" that brings the architectural grandeur of South India to the Northeast. Spanning over two acres, this white-marble complex is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and is a must-visit for its serene atmosphere and meticulous craftsmanship.

The Bhimashankar Temple (also known as Bhimeshwar Dham) is a hidden spiritual gem located in the Dakini Hills near Pamohi, on the outskirts of Guwahati. While the more famous Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga is in Maharashtra, this site is deeply revered by locals and the Assam government as the "Dakini" location mentioned in the Shiva Purana.

Day 6 - Departure

The final day of your trip is about soaking in the last bits of Assamese culture before heading home.
